When a hockey teammate was getting married, she wanted macarons at her small wedding. She turned to me. I didn't know how to make macarons at the time but I said, "Sure, I'll try." Not only did I learn to make wonderful macarons, but people at the wedding mistook me for a professional baker. I passed the macaron making knowledge to my husband Todd and two sons, Nick and Steven. Based on rave reviews from friends, families, and coworkers, in 2018, we decided to get the necessary permits to make our home kitchen into a business. That's when Topshelf Bakery was born. We bake small batches of macarons out of our home kitchen and decorate them beautifully. We believe our macarons are a superior product when compared to area competitors. They are tasty and pretty, and because we have no expensive business lease, we can charge less for our macarons than other bakeries. Our business is small, and we pride ourselves on the personal touch. Thank you for considering us for your upcoming celebration and/or your secret stash on the topshelf of your pantry.
Our Approach
Our artisan macarons are crafted in small batches using a base of almond flour, egg whites, cane sugar, and the finest flavorings we can find. Then we decorate each one by hand for a personal touch. We keep our operation small to ensure quality and timely service. We hope you can taste the love and care we put into all of our products.
